Gastric Lavage: Patient should be fasting for previous 12 hours. Transport 5 - 10 ml. of gastric lavage specimen within 4 hours of collection. Send Refrigerated.DO NOT FREEZE. Specify type of specimen on container and TRF.

Whole Blood/ Bone marrow in 1 lavender top(EDTA)/ Yellow top (ACD) tube.
Menstrual blood in a sterile screw capped container.
Fresh tissue biopsies including endometrial aspirate / curettage in sterile normal saline.
10 mL urine in a sterile screw capped container.
